I am gearing up for an awesome 2016! So much went on in 2015, that rocked my world. My beautiful grandmother made her exit, and my beautiful godson made his entrance. It’s been up and down for me this past year, but God is good. When I look back at how He has blessed and kept me, all I can do is feel overwhelming gratefulness.
I had the courage after many years to start this site, and stop letting my gifts lie dormant. God wants us who are so richly blessed to give back. It’s about more than money. What will you give God this year?
Marriage between husband and wife is an earthly depiction of the spiritual marriage between Christ (the bride-groom) and the His church (us, the bride). When man and then woman were created, they were first blessed, and then commanded to be fruitful and multiply. You have been blessed. Now what? What are you reproducing?
The Word doesn’t merely stop at being fruitful. It goes on to say AND multiply…to fill the Earth and subdue it! This world should be filled with prosperous women of God. Believers should be taking over, bearing fruit all over the place.
But what will we do in the mean time?
I am “Expecting to be Expecting! ” Thats my motto for ministry this year. No, not a natural baby, so don’t get hype. I am expecting God to do some big blessing in every aspect of my life. I’m looking for Him to blow the roof off my expectations! I’m expecting it!
Getting pregnant is work. Carrying a child is work. Laboring and birthing a child is…work! So what are you working on in 2016? Are your finances a mess? Take a class, seek counsel, by all means get help. Then go a step further and help other women get their finances in order. You may not be able to directly help them, but you can point them in the way of whoever helped you. Even making the time to date your spouse more this year can be a blessing to your marriage and a tremendous encouragement to other married couples who may be struggling in that area. The goal is to stay married and help others stay married, as marriage is “honorable above all” (Hebrews 13:4). Your “good” marriage is pointless if it is not bearing fruit AND multiplying its seed.
We all have unique, individual gifts that are to be shared to bring glory to God. Oh! You thought God just desired for you to be the only one living blessed and prosperous? Not so. My desire and prayer in 2016 for you is that you not only “expect to be expecting” but also that you get to work, so that you can be richly blessed!
What are you working on?
